Job Description:
NAFISCO is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and service activities related to firefighting and safety equipment. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued functionality, reliability, and safety of the equipment provided to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and servicing of firefighting and safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems, and personal protective equipment.
Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
Compliance and Certification: Ensure that all equipment is compliant with relevant safety standards, regulations, and certifications. Perform tests and inspections to validate compliance.
Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of firefighting and safety systems for new clients. Ensure that installations meet safety requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and servicing. Prepare reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities as needed.
Training: Provide training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of firefighting and safety equipment.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and replacement components to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
Emergency Response: Be available for emergency service calls and provide rapid response to equipment breakdowns or safety incidents.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for equipment enhancements and improvements and work with the team to implement changes.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in all maintenance activities, promoting a safety-first culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the firefighting and safety industry.
Strong knowledge of firefighting and safety equipment, systems, and regulations.
Proficiency in diagnostic and repair tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
Willingness to respond to emergency service calls outside regular working hours.
