Has the ability to qualify, quantify, and graphically represents landscape and external works standards applicable to projects and design tasks. Determines the correct source of design standards, sustainability standards and regulatory guidelines per region and represents these key findings in the design reports.
Questions, analyses and validates design ideas following a thorough understanding of the site characteristics.
Proposes relevant design solutions for review and discussions with senior designer.
Undertakes market and desktop research objectives and topics according to project briefs or office thought leadership topics. Streamlines relevant research information and outputs for review by senior staff.
Understands the impact of integrating the work of other internal disciplines or external consultant/stakeholders in the design sequence as well as the deliverables output.
Identifies international and local benchmarks and precedents for further studies and steer the review effectively as per project requirements.
Structures landscape/public realm deliverables and reports according to the scope of services and deliverables.
Demonstrates a capability in descriptive writing of landscape design principles and guidelines.
Translates and represents innovative design solutions through digital tools and personal skills.
Delivers parts of a landscape deliverable (CD/ SD/ DD set of documents/reports) package independently.
Understands the planting and irrigation requirements/standards and guidelines as per the region.
Prepares material for external workshops.
Will typically have achieved or about to achieve professional membership with any landscape institute/organization.
Be an advocate of quality procedures applicable to the Landscape Design Technical practice group and apply continuously thorough self-checks and reviews of deliverables before being shared for review.
Contributes to developing methodology for the proposals and able to assist the bid manager for tasks relating to landscape proposals.
Enhances teamwork spirit and ensures experience and knowledge is shared between landscape designers frequently.
Ensures all graduate landscape architects and other new landscape fresh recruits receive the required and needed support to meet the expectations of the tasks assigned to them and integrate well with the other team members
