Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for project planning and design.
- Prepare site layout plans, grading plans, and other civil engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering professionals to define project requirements and goals.
- Oversee and manage construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor construction progress, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, including materials and methods.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks during various phases of construction.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and change orders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide project updates and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, particularly in site development projects.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
