Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Civl and Structural Engineer to strengthen our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Assisting the lead engineer in the Preparation of the design and documentation of civil and structural components of the projects
Carrying out STAAD modelling, analysis and reporting etc
Providing inputs to designers for the development of civil, structural drawings
Carry out site visit investigations as required
Working closely within the team to achieve the project targets
Skills / Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering
At least+ years of relevant technical experience in designing different types of concrete and steel structures
5+ years of experience in professional civil/structural engineering, involving design, planning, checking, general management and supervisory responsibility in oil & gas industry especially middle east clients, UAE preferred
Excellent knowledge of International standards and codes
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Hands on experience in industry software, such as STAAD Pro, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), MS Office Suite, etc
Experience in preparing Deliverables for Civil / Structural discipline
Providing Inputs and Coordination
Good communication skills;
Should be a team player and client-oriented, flexible and should have desire to take extra effort
Thorough knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to structural engineering.
Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context.
Flexible, Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn.
