Role & Responsibilities:
Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts in SolidWorks Electrical
Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and project teams to integrate electrical and mechanical designs
Select and specify electrical components (PLC, drives, sensors, motors, contactors, cables) for crane applications
Ensure designs meet relevant safety, EMC, and performance standards (EN, IEC, UL, etc.)
Support procurement by preparing bill of materials (BOM) and technical datasheets
Generate clear electrical documentation (assembly drawings, cable schedules, installation instructions)
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during prototyping and commissioning
Liaise with vendors and third-party certifiers for component approvals and testing
Skills & Competencies:
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Comfortable working in a matrix, multidisciplinary environment
Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
3+ years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks Electrical (or equivalent ECAD)
Basic understanding of crane design principles and mechanical components
Familiarity with electrical design for lifting equipment, PLCs, and industrial control systems
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards (EN 60204-1, IEC 61508, EMC directives, CE)
