Responsibilities
+ Perform assignments to apply existing knowledge, skills, and abilities for further professional development.
+ Develop specifications, design drawings, calculations, and other contract documents through all phases of design.
+ Identify and effectively meet the requirements and expectations of clients.
+ Perform complex tasks with minimal direction and/or supervision, using engineering concepts and strategic objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
+ Evaluates the feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team members.
+ Execution of construction administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFI’s, and review of contractor proposed change orders.
+ Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results.
+ Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
+ Ability to execute design work in AutoCAD & REVIT as required.
+ Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
+ Have a strong foundation in international and local mechanical codes, ASHRAE standards, NFPA, and ICC codes, in addition to experience with analysis and layout of mechanical systems, hydronic piping, air distribution, and products and materials
+ Meet with clients, and prepare proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations
+ Ability to solve problems using sound judgment, creativity, and innovation.
+ Follow company standards and procedures including design and checking.
+ Good planning, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
+ Ability to switch between work on multiple projects daily.
+ Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and take pride in your work
Minimum Requirements
+ A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
+ 4 or more years of relevant experience designing a wide variety of commercial, high-rise residential, and industrial designs for buildings and facilities.
+ Proficiency with Carrier HAP, IESVE, TRACE 3D Plus or TRACE 700 software suites for load calculations.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must for all levels including the ability to perform design work in CAD as required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills are a must.
+ Interest in personal and professional growth, in a challenging, rewarding, and competitive professional environment.
+ Experience should be in systems associated with mechanical HVAC and/or Plumbing and Fire Protection design.
