Job Description
AECOM's Construction Supervision practice are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, to join one of our Abu Dhabi projects. Reporting to the Project Lead/ Discipline Manager on site, the Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee, review and monitor the implementation of the construction documents on site. The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for construction projects. This role involves supervising the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and inspectors.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
Design and Development: Review detailed electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for construction projects.
Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet project requirements and safety standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, clients, and contractors.
Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
Client Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor Degree in Electrical or equivalent Plus an advanced post Graduate Degree and membership of a recognized institution ( i.e. PE/Peng, CEng Etc.) would be preferred. LEED GA or AP certifications would be a plus for MEP discipline
Experience on site supervision projects
10 years demonstrable experience in the design and all aspects of supervision and project administration of the electrical works related to large-scale projects within Middle East in the consulting industry
