CPAS is looking for a “Structural Design Engineer”
Responsibilities:
·Study and collect all related data of the assigned tasks.
·Analysis and calculations of the building & the structural reactions.
·Design and Draw the structural elements (slabs, foundations, columns)
·Design concrete and steel structures and Draw submissions
·Review and approve soil reports results
·Attend meetings
·Respond to all site requests and clarifications in accordance to project procedures
·Coordinate with other departments through the subsequent design stages
·Comply with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – Structural Department
·5-10 years of experience in the same filed
·Excellent communication and Leadership skills
· Decision-making and critical thinking skills.
·Very good computer skills (MS Office, SAP, ETAB, SAFE, Revit, AutoCAD)
·Fluency in English

• Performs simple structural design and calculations as directed by senior engineers.
• Use structural design software, and prepare manual calculation as required.
• Understand the limitations of software and can verify the software output.
• Prepare reports, presentation as directed by senior engineers.
• Requests drafting staff to produce finished drawings from sketches and/or prepare structural drawings, sketches to a high standard.
• Follow company standards and procedures including design and checking.
• Performs other duties of similar nature and level as assigned.
• Exhibits a willingness to assist mid and senior level engineers.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a structural engineer in a consultancy firm.
• Experience in Revit is a must.
• Full awareness of all design related software programs.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Has a strong theoretical engineering knowledge.
• Open-minded with the ability to follow instructions and work under close supervision.
• Able to work in a Team working environment.
• Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Is highly motivated and is willing to learn and meet new challenges.
• Is flexible in an environment with frequent changes in deadlines.
• Experience in KSA projects is a plus.
